Magnificent Residential Custom Wine Cellar Designs Utilizing VintageView Metal Wine Rack Systems

When designing wine rooms, it is essential that both the aesthetic and functional aspects be considered. At Coastal Custom Wine Cellars, we always see to it that we build our client’s dream wine cellar with passion and creativity using innovative wine storage systems.

We have been utilizing wood and metal wine racks in building modern wine cellars. Nowadays, the demand for contemporary design has been increasing. Thanks to VintageView for providing stylish metal wine racks, which help us create striking wine display and storage areas.

This year, VintageView awarded us with four badges:

  • Residential Design
  • Regional Certified Designer
  • Floor to Ceiling Series Innovator
  • Wall Series Innovator

Metal is a favorite material in manufacturing wine racks. Its strength, durability, ease of maintenance, and elegance make it a sought-after material in building contemporary wine cellars. The idea of “less is more” exemplifies minimalism. This approach involves eliminating any elements that do not play a significant role in the function and aesthetic appeal of a space. We create unique wine cellars using metal and glass.

Our team has completed outstanding residential wine cellar conversion projects using wine racks from VintageView. We made our clients very happy with the sleek design of their wine room. They are celebrating beauty found in simple details with our innovative wine rack design. Every wine cellar we built is guaranteed to catch one’s attention.

Contemporary Wine Cellar Closet Conversion Project in Los Angeles, California

Contemporary Custom Wine Cellars in Los Angeles California Green Racks

Coastal Custom Wine Cellars completed a wow-worthy wine cellar installation project for a high-end home.  Despite the small space, we were able to come up with a design that could accommodate 252 bottles. We incorporated lighting effects for a dramatic wine display.

Features of the VintageView Wine Rack System

For this particular project, we combined VintageView Platinum WS43 and WS33 Series wine racks finished in brushed nickel. Other finish options include brass, copper, platinum, black, satin black, and black pearl. The WS43 model denotes that the wine racks used are 4’ in height and have 3-bottles depth.  The WS33 wine racks are 3’ high and 3’ deep. The FCF (floor-to-ceiling frames) are easy to cut and mount.

You can even assemble and install them yourself if you have a screwdriver and a saw on hand. Joining the VintageView metal wine racks requires plastic couplers before mounting the units on the frames. If you think you cannot do it yourself, you are free to hire a professional.

How you illuminate your wine cellar has a significant impact on the overall appeal of your wine display. For this particular project, we utilized a color-rotating LED ribbon lighting system, resulting in an attention-grabbing wine cellar design. We enclosed the area with a glass door.

The VintageView wine racks, dramatic lighting, and glass entryway make the wine cellar look like the client spent more than $5,000 on it.

A Play Area Transformed Into a Stylish Residential Custom Wine Cellar with VintageView Wine Racks

Another modern wine cellar design we created was for a homeowner who wanted to turn a large playroom in their basement into a residential custom wine cellar. He also wanted his wine cellar to serve as a tasting and cigar room as well. After a careful assessment of the client’s needs, we found out that he wanted a mix of wood and metal wine racks.

We used Alder wood for the wine racks and applied the surface with Sherwin Williams Rustic stain for a lustrous look. The wooden wine racks, including the cigar humidor and tabletop, were installed on the back wall.

Transitional Home Wine Cellar Design with VintageView wine racks

The wine rack design we created for thisproject consists of VintageView metal wine racks and wooden components. Our team placed the metal racking in strategic areas to achieve a modern appeal.

The double-deep wine racks, which are in brushed nickel, were installed on the wall located on the left side of the glass door. We placed another set of floor-to-ceiling VintageView wine racks on the right wall of the room. On the left wall, the top section consists of half-height VintageView wine racks that are 3-bottle deep.

With a label forward configuration, the metal wine racks provide ease of access to the wines. The labels are facing out, making it easy to locate a specific type of wine. You do not have to flip the bottle to see its description. Keep in mind that when you flip a bottle of wine, you will disturb the sediments, which will result in an increase in the tannin content of the wine and unpleasant flavors.

Overall, the VintageView wine racks can store 852 bottles. Coastal Custom Wine Cellars is proud to be part of this remarkable project in Anaheim Hills, California. Learn more about the features of this custom wine cellar conversion project.

The owner of a prestigious home in Coto de Caza in Orange County, California, contacted Coastal Custom Wine Cellars for her wine room conversion project. She wanted to turn the space under her stairs into a stylish and functional wine storage area. We created an award-winning design using wood and metal, as requested by the client.

Contemporary Custom Wine Rack Design Features

We installed Mahogany custom wine racks on the right wall. Instead of leaving the left wall unused, we installed VintageView wine racks to maximize the storage capacity of the space. The racking is single-deep and occupies a 4-inch area from the wall. We applied a black finish on the metal wine racks to complement the wooden wine racks.

VintageView Wine Rack Styles Widely Used in Our Wine Cellar Projects

VintageView offers various racking styles to cater to the unique needs of our clients. To ensure that the perfect wine racks are installed in every wine cellar, we make a careful assessment of each wine collector.

Flexible Floor to Ceiling Series Wine Racks

For many years, Coastal Custom Wine Cellars have been using their floor-to-ceiling wine racks in building residential and commercial wine cellars. As the name implies, floor-to-ceiling wine racks allow wine cellar builders to create a wine display up to the ceiling height. These wine racks can also serve as room dividers.

The frames are designed for installations around the windows and difficult angles without a support wall. Installation of floor-to-ceiling wine racks does not need drilling. The frames are made from commercial-grade steel with four finish options.

Space-Savvy Wall Series VintageView Wine Racks

With VintageView’s wall-mounted wine racks, we were able to give life to dull walls in homes and commercial establishments. We recommend these wine racks for small wine cellars because they do not occupy floor space.

You can choose between Vino Pins, Vino Rails, and Column Wall Series wine racks. You can even combine different kinds of wall-mounted wine racks to create unique wall art in your wine cellar.

Freestanding Wine Racks

Another sleek way to display your wines is by using VintageView’s freestanding wine racks, allowing homeowners, retailers, and restaurateurs to place sophisticated wine storage units anywhere, utilizing few feet of floor space.

These wine racks are available in metal and acrylic. We offer various styles of freestanding wine racks, including the Evolution Series, Island Display Racks, and Case & Crate.

Modern Wine Cellar Peg Racks

If you’re looking for a more versatile and flexible wine racking style, VintageView’s peg racking might entice you. Unlike the Wall series, there’s no need to attach brackets and couplers when you use their pegs. Each individual pegs is screwed directly onto the main wall and you can buy them in double-deep or triple-deep variations. You can also adjust each pair of peg to accommodate different bottle sizes, and can install them according to the shape of your available wall space.
