The type of commercial wine cellar cooling unit directly affects the success of your business.

Basic Factors to Consider When Choosing a Cooling Unit

When it comes to hospitality and  the  commercial wine industry, the method of showcasing and displaying wine bottles is important.  It can spell the difference between boosting wine sales and losing out on potential customers, that’s why most wine cellars for commercial use are designed and constructed with marketing in mind. But before investing so much on racking and display plans, you need to establish and secure the fundamental components for your commercial wine cellar to thrive, and that is installing a cooling system with the appropriate power capacity, size, and design.

Here are some of the most important details to know when choosing a cooling unit:

  • Wine cellar dimensions
  • The number and sizes of bottles you are planning to store
  • Wine cellar location
  • Structural materials used (i.e., glass, wood)
  • Availability of air space between ceiling and walls
  • Amount of insulation
  • Budget

The compatibility of commercial wine cellar cooling and commercial wine cellars are essential to maintaining an environment conducive to storing and aging wines for a long period of time.  Wine cellar cooling systems come in various features, configurations, and cooling capacities.  Cellar cooler units ideal for commercial use should have maximum cooling rates in order to provide the best climate conditions for wine storage.
