The video playlist features several modern, traditional, and combination-style wine cellars that take their artwork to the next level! Whether you’re looking for a grand wine display or a storage showcase for your home, these wine cellars will leave you in awe with their unique features, such as wood, metal, and cable wine racking to maximize storage while highlighting the magnificence of the wine bottles!

A Very Interesting Office-turned-Wine Cellar Space

Is your wine collection growing and you don’t have any extra, unused space at home to make room for a wine storage room? Well let’s find you some space! In this new installation, a home office was converted into a contemporary wine cellar complete with stone walls, a mix of custom metal and wooden wine racking, beautiful rustic floorboards, and a frameless glass entrance lined with polycarbonate clear vinyl seal to ensure the integrity of the space. We invested plenty of our skills and knowledge during the planning of this cellar because we wanted it to precisely capture and reflect the home’s interior style. And even with the cellar’s external wall, it was not a problem at all because we renovated the entire walling with enough insulation and vapor barrier and installed a powerful commercial wine cooling unit, enough to keep the cellar at optimum temperature all year round. Keypad-Secured Home Wine Room With A Repurposed Wine Barrel Ceiling

Repurposed wine barrels are popularly used to achieve rustic flooring. But have you seen a wine cellar where the barrels are reused as ceiling materials? This custom home wine room features well-polished wooden ceilings from old wine barrels! It was the final piece that completed this wine storage’s rustic look. While a semi-traditional wine display filled the interior of the wine room, the outside was slightly different. The owner was an absolute wine collector and loved to entertain guests, so he had us install glass doors and a barolo door facing a dining area. To further protect his precious wine collection, we upgraded his door lock into a numerical keypad to ensure that only his most trusted people can enter the cellar. How About A Custom Glass Wine Wall as Space Divider?

If you’re looking for a unique accent within your open-floor-layout space, a glass wine wall may not be one of your immediate options. But take a look at this glass wine closet in a charming home! The owners had their bar counter replaced with a full-on, massive wine closet and it looked perfectly in place between the living and dining area! With two double doors, a 360-degree frameless glass enclosure, custom chrome-brushed metal wine racks, and a soffit to hold a dedicated wine cellar cooling system, this backdrop is nothing but extraordinary. A Standout Gorgeous Glass Wine Cellar in the Corner of a California Living Room

Looking for a nice living room wine cellar design can be overwhelming with thousands of creative ideas being shared around the world. In this video, we’re giving you yet another bright wine cellar idea that slightly veers off from the typical dim-lighted wine storage unit. This incredible glass wine room occupies one of the nooks in this California living room. But instead of shielding it from the abundant natural light coming in from the massive sliding doors, our designers harnessed the potential of showcasing the entire wine collection behind glass panels with the support of the right amount of insulation and cooling. The ducted split-system HS cooling unit, coupled with the highly effective closed foam cell insulation and tempered glass panels keep the entire wine collection fresh and flavourful; while the label-forward display racks and acrylic LED back walling make this exceptionally noteworthy! A Space-Maximizing Wine Cellar Concept Under the Stairs

Massive Custom Wine Racks that Prioritize Capacity!

A wine cellar built mainly to house large French Burgundies, this room features a well-planned wine racking layout and design. The bottles are well-organized, racks designed to support proper air distribution, and there’s comfortable space for the owner to walk-through — now that’s what we call valuable design! This massive racking stands from the repurposed-stave flooring up to the high ceiling and were designed to have 3.75 bottle slots. The entire room is cooled by a ducted split system unit which doesn’t produce any sound that vibrates inside the room. Small Modern Wine Cellar to Elevate Your Empty Hallway

When you want to add more charm to your already deluxe home, a small modern wine cellar is something you can consider. For the owner of this chic and classy California home, a glass wine cellar was the perfect centerpiece for their empty hallway. An all white hallway leads people from the dining area to an adjacent room and a posh glass wine closet was their way to spice up the space and provide a good storage home for their expensive wine collection. Triple deep metal wine pegs set in front of a marble-like back wall held all the bottles in this climate-controlled wine cellar. And guess how many bottles can fit in this tiny wine closet? A whopping 156 standard-sized wine bottles and three magnums! Learn how this small modern wine cellar was conceptualized here!

Modern Wine Cellar Nestled Under the Stairs

For a client who wanted to maximize the bottle capacity of her under-the-stairs space, a modern wine cellar with custom contemporary racking was her go-to choice. From afar, the  3-bottle deep wine racks may look ordinary, but a closer scan through would show you why this custom wine rack is different from all the rest. This is because this is not a plain metal wine rack. It was built using a combination of stainless steel, acrylic LED base shelves, and Alder wood! Alder wood was used to connect the different sections of the metal wine rack and it was stained in black to mimic a modern look.  US Cellar Systems’ RM4600 maintains the cool environment inside the cellar, together with the help of the room’s 3.5-inch spray insulation and the 1/2-inch frameless glass door’s pivot hinges. Cooperage Wine Barrel Ceilings for An Artistic Residential Wine Cellar

We had the opportunity to create a new residential wine cellar that was quite unique from a lot of wine cellars we’ve done before. This wine cellar was placed inside a “drinking” salon which was separate from the main house. Since the entire room needed a makeover,  and it wasn’t very practical to convert the entire space into a wine room, we found it best to have the lounge area next to the walk in wine closet. For the main entrance of this lounge, we installed a beautifully-stained barolo door with an LVL core. Once inside, you’ll be immediately greeted by the glass panels enclosing the wine cellar.  The client wanted a contemporary wine cellar with a defining rustic touch. So, aside from the Alder wooden wine racks and wooden floors, we decided to produce a ceiling made of repurposed wine barrels. Specifically, we used repurposed cooperage or the tabletop part of wine barrels. What’s unique about cooperage is that it contains the markings of a wine barrel which are still visible and well-preserved in this wine cellar. Renovating a Home Wine Cellar With a New Contemporary Design

We were able to work with a home wine cellar that was having trouble keeping a cool, steady temperature. As we made our assessment, we discovered it didn’t have the right amount of insulation, and the cooling unit used was a regular, window-type cooling which was not appropriate for this wine cellar. Our team remade the entire wine room complete with metal and wooden wine racks, and an arched barolo door that framed the wine collection beautifully from the outside. The new custom design also came with various storage styles to accommodate different sizes of wine bottles, stemware, and decanting tools. An solid arched table top stands at the center of the wine room, lit by a simple puck light. Rustic Wooden Wine Racks for a Contemporary Home Wine Cellar

An owner of a semi-Tuscan-style home reached out to Coastal Custom Wine Cellars to create their home rustic wine cellar. He wanted an all wood wine rack  to match his terracotta-like tiles and he wanted it to come in a design that was captivating, interesting, and unique. We built them a custom wine rack that stood from floor-to-ceiling complete with lattice diamond bins, a reveal row, horizontal wine racks for standards 750s, horizontal wine racks for magnums, standard 750 compartments, and crate storage space. Beyond the bottle compartments, we also added a sub-closing drawer, a 2-door cabinet, 2 decanting areas, and an upside down where they can store their stemware. Renovated Small Wine Cellar With An Awesome Transitional Aesthetic

Our team was called in to fix an old wine closet that already exhibited signs of severe mold infestation. The wine bottles were starting to look green and it was not the most appetizing sight for a dining area. Taking out everything, we started strengthening the insulation, especially that the wine wall was set behind an exterior wall that was exposed to the sun most of the day. We also replaced the cooling unit with a more cost-efficient split-system, since the original system was too big for the cellar. We then spiced the look of the cellar by combining black satin metal wine racks, marble countertop, blue-stained X-bins, and three frameless glass door panels. We are very proud of to have transformed this wine cellar into a well-functioning, climate-controlled space and the owner couldn’t have been more happier either! Custom Glass Wine Cellar Ideas for a Stately Dining Room

Contemporary wine cellars look incredible when designed with different materials. In this home wine cellar, we made use of two types of wine cellar racks — dark-stained Alder racks and triple-deep metal wine racks from the W series — to hold the collection. To create dimension on the upper walls, we installed backer boards where we attached the metal wine racks. Unlike other designs where the metal racks are anchored directly to the main wall, we went for a different approach this time. Using backer boards allowed us to plant LED lights behind the boards, so we were able to produce a one-of-a-kind lighting arrangement that highlighted the entire wine cellar in a unique way. Modern Wine Room Lighting Innovation

Large modern wine rooms or wine closets can be balanced out with the right lighting plan. Light layering is when you situate lights in different levels and depths around the room. It also involves choosing the right type of lighting and design fitting for the entire space. In this modern wine room, Steve brought in one of the most unique lighting innovations created by the Wine Cellar Designers Group — a customizable LED lighting technology that involves placing LED panels behind translucent acrylic boards to produce a very classy, soft glow. The entire back wall of this modern wine room was fitted with this state-of-the-art lighting technology, and some of the shelves were made with it too.  You can see that the dramatic illumination is then spread throughout the wall and below the racks.  Watch the video below to see what we’re talking about! Custom Wooden Wine Racking

Wooden wine racks can be bought over-the-counter or custom-built for your space.  What’s great about customizing wood racks is you get to control their final look based on your wine cellar ideas. You can stain them with any color you want and polish them in either lacquer or wax.  In the video below, you’ll see one of our finished projects featuring a custom wooden wine rack made from Alder wood and brushed with a dark brown stain.  You’ll also see some new elements integrated into this custom wine rack, including acrylic LED panels on the shelves.  Since the original room was rectangular and had sharp corners, we built curved racks over them so the client can still utilize that space for his wine collection. With custom racks, the design possibilities are endless! Glass Wine Cellar With A Mirror Wall

Modern home wine cellars are commonly built with glass panels. Glass forms clean lines and creates a fully see-through and immersive experience, making it more memorable and striking to look at. If you prefer a modern-minimalist design, a glass-enclosed wine cellar with cable wine racks is an excellent choice because it resonates a very orderly and fresh look. Since this wine cellar was set against a post that housed the wine cellar cooling unit coils, we decided to cover the solid wall with a mirror to maintain the glassy aesthetic. We also attached acrylic panels to the ceiling and base of the cellar to house theLED lights.  Learn more about this modern glass wine cellar here!

Wine Cellar Ideas: Display Row Lighting

Wine cellar display row lighting showcases your best and rarest wines. As the name implies, it is used in the row display of wines. Professionals install row display lighting in a visually strategic location in the wine cellar. Emphasis is the main focus of the approach they use. Wines in these lighted rows should be more prominent than the other wines in the cellar.

It might look easy at first glance. But a lot of thought and technique go through it before the team finally decides on the final placement of the row display lighting for the wine cellar. So, it’s best to work with experienced professionals to install this type of lighting in your wine cellar.

Split-System Wine Cellar Cooling

Why install a split-system wine cellar cooling system in your wine cellar? Well, for one, you can place the bulky parts outside the wine cellar and only leave the vent inside the wine cellar. By doing this, you can minimize additional heat load in the wine cellar and remove clutter while increasing the wine bottle capacity of the wine room.

A split-type cooling unit is something to desire in a wine cellar. But make sure you work with a certified HVAC professional when installing one in your wine storage room.

Wine Cable Racking System

Contemporary. Engineering marvel. Minimalist. These are but a few words that define a wine cable racking system. These racks look clean and modern with their polished metal finish. Coupled with modern LED lighting, any modern wine cellar would look fantastic with it installed.

You are highly advised to only work with licensed wine cable racking system installers, like Coastal Custom Wine Cellars, to install this racking system in your wine cellar.

Wine Cellar LED Panels

Wine cellar LED panels are slowly gaining popularity in the wine cellar industry. The subtle lighting behind the acrylic panel gives just the right amount of glow to make the wines displayed in it look classy and sophisticated. This simple design lessens black space, which makes your wine collection stand out even more.
