Check out this sneak peek at a new Los Angeles Custom Wine Cellars project.

Master Wine Cellar Builders in California Do It Again!

This Los Angeles project was all about designing custom wine cellars to match the homeowner’s style and complement their home. The Palos Verdes project, made of Heart Redwood, stands out with its unique appearance. It features various custom wine racks, including a lattice style arch, a single deep solid diamond bin wine rack, and 6″ deep horizontal displays.

The wine cellar door is made of dual pane glass with a Knotty Alder wood frame, stained in Cherry finish, and includes an operable hinge for easy cleaning. The cellar is fully climate controlled with a Ductless Split Wine Cellar Refrigeration System, and the display and controller are installed inside the wine room.

Home Wine Cellars Style in Design

Projects like this demonstrate the value of designing in style in creating custom wine cellars to match a homeowner’s personality as well as complementing their home.

Projects like this custom wine cellar in Los Angeles are designed for style. It is a good example that shows custom residential wine cellars can be diverse in design style to suit the homeowner’s personality.

It’s All About Style

Although constructed in All Heart Redwood as many home wine rooms are, this wine cellar has a very different look and feel from them.

The racking consists of 13” single-deep storage, a 6” deep horizontal display, and 27” double-deep storage.

Along the back wall across from the entry, we added 27” Double Deep single bottle storage racking beneath the Lattice Style Arch. Increasing the cellar’s overall storage capacity as well as enabling plenty of functional countertop area while in the cellar. Most of the single bottle storage racks include a High Reveal Display row to feature your favorite labels.

The very classic Lattice Arch above the countertop is 13 inches deep and includes 750 ml bottle storage above and to either side. No veneer or glue-ups are ever used in our manufacturing process. This is a good way to pack in your wines as you can store your wine both above and below the cellar’s feature display row. The main wine storage area wall is comprised of a single deep as well as solid diamond bin style racking. The diamond bin is constructed with solid 12” x 1-inch Heart Redwood.

6-inch deep horizontal displays were designed above the diamond bin storage area. This enabled the countertop to run all the way around the outer edge of the wine cellar storage area.

Horizontal Display Rows Show Off You Wine But Take Very Little Space

Horizontal Displays can feature the client’s best-loved labels in such a way that the whole length of the wine bottle is easy to see. This display design is very good for the smaller wine cellars as well as they only require 6 inches of depth.

An attractive custom wine cellar door, constructed using dual pane glass and Knotty Alder frames set off the entrance to this wine cellar. Stained in an attractive cherry color finish the door has wrought iron detail with an opening hinge to enable easy cleaning of the glass.

The knotty alder wood choice provided a weathered and somewhat aged style. By its very nature, the knot holes generate a distressed look. Other finishes commonly used for custom wine cellar doors include Clear Alder and African Mahogany both of which offer unique looks.

Wine Cellar Cooling Systems At The Core

This is a refrigerated wine cellar Ductless Split Wine Cellar Cooling System from U.S. Cellar Systems. It has a remote digital control and LED display of the wine cellar temperature.

While the wine cellar cooling units display and the controller can be placed either outside of inside the wine cellar. For this Los Angeles project the client preferred it placed just inside the wine room.
