This designer’s acrylic LED innovative wine cellar panels can be custom cut to different sizes and shapes and used in various applications. For this modern wine closet, he used it as a backdrop for the metal wine racks section and as base shelves for the vertical display section.  

If you look closer, you’ll notice something interesting—the metal wine pegs are carefully inserted through the LED panel. Don’t worry, though; these pegs are securely anchored to the main wall. Beforehand, holes were thoughtfully pre-drilled on the acrylic board to accommodate these pegs. It’s a clever and practical way to ensure everything stays in place while adding a unique touch to the wine cellar’s design.

Innovative Wine Cellar Design: Lighting Up A Cigar Humidor 

This second project we’re sharing is with a fantastic couple who lived in a stunning contemporary house in Port Street. The wife adored wine, while her husband, not the biggest wine drinker, was more of a cigar aficionado. The idea then was to create a custom wine cellar with a cigar humidor that accommodated their expensive wines and cigars. Like the first project above, the designer combined wooden and metal wine racks for the wines and added some Spanish cedar cabinetry in the middle for cigar storage.  

As cigars also needed to be stored in a controlled, humid environment like wines, the designer brought in a recirculating or self-replenishing humidifier they hid inside one of the drawers.  

The primary light source of this elegant wine cellar is the LED back wall built with the Lutron system. The Lutron system is an innovative control system that takes your ordinary LED lights and transforms them into a dynamic lighting experience. It allows the owner to dim the entire back wall to set a mood or brighten it with white light when hosting guests.  

It’s a wine cellar lighting technology that puts you in control, allowing you to customize the lighting to suit any occasion! 

The bottles here are standing on an acrylic LED panel that the owner can turn on or off whenever they like.

LED Shelves for a Contemporary, Homey Wine Cellar  

In the world of contemporary home wine cellars, there’s something captivating about the combination of custom wooden wine racking and a delightful acrylic LED back wall. In this innovation, an LED panel is sandwiched between two translucent acrylic boards. This brilliant combination creates a mesmerizing effect as the light gently diffuses through the acrylic surface. The optical clarity of these acrylic boards ensures that the soft glow won’t overwhelm the eyes, even if you’re staring into a massive LED wall! 

In this 3rd project, they got creative and utilized LED technology in two clever ways — both as a back wall and as a base for the vertical shelves. An LED back wall was the perfect solution to illuminate an otherwise gloomy wine cellar and reading nook since the space didn’t have ample windows to welcome natural light.  

The designer took it a step further by incorporating LED lighting into the base of the vertical shelves where the owner currently displays his whiskies, brandies, and rhum. This smart choice majestically illuminated the bottles from the bottom, creating a captivating display and a subtle glow that enhanced the cellar’s overall atmosphere.
